Drug-driving

The act of driving requires concentration, coordination and good vision, all of which can be impaired by any kind of drug, whether it be illegal, prescribed or over-the-counter.

More and more people who die in road crashes are believed to have traces of drugs in their system and as a result North Yorkshire Police are tackling drug-driving head on. They are now able to carry out roadside tests to determine whether a driver is under the influence of drugs.
