Dealing with an incident
- Remember that your own safety is paramount – you will be no use to relay information to the emergency services if you become a casualty yourself
- Get help immediately by calling 999 – give the exact location, a description of what is involved and the number and condition of casualties
- Don’t move anyone unless they are in immediate danger and need to be moved prior to the emergency services arriving
- Never remove the rider’s helmet unless they have stopped breathing.
