- Your driving licence (although this shouldn’t be left in the car)
- A note of your insurer’s details and the policy number (but do not leave these in the car)
- A charged mobile phone (ideally with a camera for use at the scene of an accident)
- Breakdown recovery contact details
- A road atlas
- Sunglasses
- A screen cleaner cloth
- A notebook and pencil
- A torch
- A reflective jacket
- Spare fuses/bulbs
- A warning triangle
- A first aid kit
