Cycling
Cycling to school is a great way to get fit, feel good, manage your weight and have fun.
It also saves the environment for future generations and contributes to cleaner air, less congestion and quieter roads.
As a cyclist you must ride on the road so it’s really important that you are properly trained. If you haven’t yet been trained then ask your school if they provide cycle training or contact your local road safety team on 08458 727374 to find out if there is a training course in your area.
Bikes are the most vulnerable of all vehicles on our roads so you should take extra precautions to protect yourself. Not all vehicles, especially large tractors, trucks or buses, might see you on a bike.
Check out the links below to learn all about cycle safety before you head out on your bike, or, play our interactive game to see how good your cycling skills are.
