Drug-driving

Drug-driving is a serious issue amongst young people, with many young people involved in crashes found to have traces of drugs in their system.

Both illegal and prescribed drugs affect a driver’s ability to drive safely by:
  • Distorting coordination and judgement
  • Affecting concentration
  • Slowing reactions
  • Leading to higher risk taking.
