Choose your spot, get there early and keep the race route clear – that’s the message to people planning to watch the 2018 Tour de Yorkshire. With the race getting closer and closer, we are asking everyone to make the most of it by planning ahead.

For the first time this year, the race takes place over four days – from Thursday 3 May to Sunday 6 May. All of the route on Saturday 5 May and most of the route on Sunday 6 May is in North Yorkshire.

As in previous years, there will be rolling road closures as the race progresses and these are expected to last for around an hour. Some areas, including the start and finish locations, some of the climbs and busier locations will require longer closures.
