Sat-nav systems are great for giving you directions but make sure you programme them before you set off. Mess around with it while you are driving and it means taking your hands off the steering wheel and your eyes off the road – not a good idea!
If you need to alter the programming of your sat-nav then pull over where it is safe to do so and alter it while stationary.
Remember, dangerous driving is an offence and with North Yorkshire Police cracking down in your area there’s a good chance you’ll be caught.
Don’t be distracted – give the road your full attention.
