Settle has been announced as a host town for a start or finish of the Tour de Yorkshire for 2016

The Tour de Yorkshire will take place over the May Day bank holiday weekend from Friday 29th April – Sunday 1st May 2016. The race is a flagship cycling event in the UK and an outstanding cycle race in the international calendar, with the participation of top international teams.  The inaugural Tour de Yorkshire was held in May this year and attracted one and a half million spectators and over six million global television viewers.

Racing will begin and end in Beverley, Doncaster, Middlesbrough, Otley (Leeds), Scarborough and Settle.

We are expecting the full route announcement including which towns will be a start or finish by the end of December 2015.
